Huge amounts of types of green tea worldwide

It is reported that there we more than 8000 types of green teas in ancient China. Nowadays, it is estimated that no less than 1500 types of green teas are existing. This large variety of teas is mainly concentrated around China and Taiwan, whereas Japan’s production is focused on a relatively narrow range of  specific varieties.
